Smoky Chipotle 6 Layer Taco Dip

Meaty 6 Layer Dip

‘Tis the season for football parties and man approved snacks . . . no more kale smoothies, ants on a log, granola or “skinny” versions of chili but lots of meaty and hearty meals that will leave you wanting to sit and watch football and then take a long nap

Football party food has to be some of my all time favorite; chili, nachos, wings, potato skins, mini weenies, and so much more!

Yes these foods are not necessarily the best for the heart but they are packed with big flavor and if you make these great dishes they will definitely get you invited to all the football parties šŸ˜‰

Smoky Chipotle Salsa

This salsa will literally blow your mind.

I am crazy particular about salsa and most store bought salsa doesn’t make the cut.

Dillman Farm is local company that I work with and make delicious recipes for, using their rockin’ products! This Smoky Chipotle Salsa is one of my favorite products that they make. I’ve never had a salsa that is quite like it. It has so much flavor and stands great on its own with a bag of chips!

I make a Salsa Chicken Bake with their smoky salsa and this salsa makes this meal one of our family favorites!

This is the perfect topping for my Meaty 6 Layer Taco Dip

This isn’t your average layer dip, it is packed with lots of meat, beans and cheese as well as this salsa that you will want in every bite! Get ready for people to request this when you go to your next party!

  5. Dig in with a big bag of chips!

Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Ball

Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Ball

I am having so much fun with all the products from Dillman Farm, the variety makes it so fun to develop these tasty recipes. This one is definitely one of my favorites, mainly because it uses one of the more unique products:  JalapeƱo Pepper Jelly

Have you ever used it? Or heard of it? We don’t use a ton of pepper jelly in Indiana, but I see it everywhere in southern cooking. They know how to make good food! This stuff is so stinkin flavorful! The contrast of sweet and spicy makes me do backflips…(if I were able to do a backflip).

jalapeno pepper jelly

Not really ever using much JalapeƱo Pepper Jelly in my cooking I was pretty determined to find a way to make something that would rock your socks off. . . I LOVE a good challenge, it brings out the good side of my competitiveness :)

If you are turning your nose at the idea of pepper jelly, I’m begging you to give this recipe a try, it might change your life (small exaggeration) It’s different than anything you’ve had before and will make a guaranteed show stopper in this delicious cheese ball at your next party. Despite the name this is definitely not spicy, the cheese and jelly really balance out any heat and adds a little sweetness but keeps the pepper flavor.
